China’s literature from the modern era is distinctive, and differs from the literature written up until to the Tang dynasty. Students consider the nature of the country’s modern literature based on the background of the era. They also get an overview of the Japanese literary environment when Japanese people grow familiar with Chinese poetry during these periods.
