Advanced Seminar: Modern Japanese Literature

This seminar covers representative authors of contemporary Japanese literature, such as Naoya Shiga and Yasunari Kawabata. While considering the influence of foreign literature and art as well as from other artistic fields, students are expected to build an understanding of the characteristics of each literary world.
